Hello all.
I ordered a 2013 MC-D23 150 cc (Roketa Aruba with a Jonway plaque on it.) and received it the other day. It uses what appears to be a projection headlight system. The problem is when the lights are on dim the left light is very bright and the right is very dim (98/2), turn on high beams and it is reversed (2/98). There are only 2 wires for each headlight, I am used to seeing 3 wires (High/ Low and ground). Is this right or do I have a problem.

not sure about the wiring but my headlights operate the same. the high beam is angled a little higher than the low. assumed normal, i don't have too much problem with visibility.

I had a problem like that but both bulbs were bright when on low, and when switched to high they were on low. I think I solved the problem (which really wasn't much of one when both were the same brightness) with new bulbs. I'm fairly certain I had your issue--- high on one light and low on the other. I never rewired anything and the new bulbs themselves solved the issue.

Thanks for the replies. I did some more research and as strange as it may seem all of the MC-23's are this way. I was just worried that it might generate too much heat with one headlight for low beam and the other for high and melt the bulb holder like it did on my old Roketa Bermuda.

Are they the same bulbs?
That's odd that you researched and found that they all (or most) are like that. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of hi/low beams?

I haven't pulled a bulb out to look at it, but being as how there are only 2 wires to each bulb, I would assume that the left headlight is for low beam and the right is high beam.
