Hi. Love the forum. I read a thread about folks replacing their tires with brands like Pirellis and Goodyear. I had some questions:
Where do you guys buy them? I checked scrappy dog and saw the Korean brand but not those I mentioned.
I can probably mount them but I don't know if I could hack balancing. Do you guys do it yourself or go to a bike store?
Thanks.

Seriously you won't know you're riding the same scoot. It's a big difference.

i bought my pirelli tires from them. the dyna beads work just don't use soap or any other lubricant when you mount your tires otherwise the beads will stick and become useless. i learned that the hard way.

Fortunately I mounted them dry. Still had the dickens of a time getting them in, but I prevailed. There is also a company in Arizona that makes them. (I'll have to look them up though)

I upgraded from Cheng Shin to Kenda(rear) and then to Michelin S1 (front and rear), and I got the S1's from www.bikebandit.com/

Thanks for the links and tips. My Pirellis are on their way. I talked to a motorsports store and they are going to mount and balance them for 25 bucks a piece; after watching the video of the guy struggling to get the damn tires off and the new ones on its 50 bucks Im ok with spending.

Hey ramblinman those are the exact ones I put on (page 2 of the link) I liked the idea of the strength of steel over the aluminum ones.
