Hi all,
Just got my new carb today,installed it and scoot still won't start,but the tube that bolts to the frame that comes off the bottom of the carb,you know ,the one with the spring around it leaks like a civ whenever I try to start it. Can somebody please help!

That is the carb drain if not mistaking.There should be a flatheaded screw in it.It is most likely loose.Start there,

Ok. Checked that and tightened it up. no more leak,but engine still won't start.

Ok,took care of that,but the motor still won't start. Put a new plug in it last summer and have plenty of spark.

Have you adjusted your valves? First step after checking gas/air/spark/compression is valves. The soft metal in chinese heads allows the valves to be hammered in a bit, so you have to adjust them several times in the first couple of years.
What happens when you try to start it?

It doesn't even attempt to start,it just turns and turns,then starts to stink really bad of fuel. Previous owner said that ever since they bought it new it's always had a hard time starting especially in the cold. The day we went to see it the owner had a little heater next to the motor to help warm it up. Dealership where they got it,told them the whole batch they got of this model had starting problems.oh and the previous owner NEVER lashed the valves.
