Honda has come out with a new concept they hope to bring to market, though no confirmation on it coming to the USA yet. Many reviewers and online commenters are saying it looks like a scooter front end, others say it looks like a Bat-Bike. I personally think it looks like a front end three wheeler, with only two wheels. What do you think? www.cycleworld.com/2014/03/21/honda-nm4-vultus-first-look-concept-bike-review-photos/

I like it, but would like to see it with a rider in position. From the article, it's a sit up straight position (Kinda like Judge Dredd's Lawmaster bike) and not nearly as much a sports bike as it looks. but I do like the use of black tones and chrome.

Well, it looks like my CTX700 with the new 750cc motor and different tupperware. and an ugly seat but I kinda like it.

I am currently looking at selling my scooter to buy a Honda NC700x with the auto/dct transmission. This is the same as that bike and the CTX700. No interest in this new one though. It is fugly.

Whew! Looks like something Darth Vader would ride to attack the universe... LOL!
While I'm incurably "old-school" I must admit I like this 21st-century look... Especially in its flat-black "sinister" cosmetics. I think it needs red rims and wide whitewalls though... HeHeHe...
Way back, when I was first considering a scooter, I checked out the then-new Honda 700 automatic motorcycle. I guess that must have been the NC700x mentioned above. I absolutely loved it, and the ONLY reason I did not buy one was that I couldn't afford one... Good reason, no? It cost about the same as a mid-model Kia back then.
Since then, age and arthritis have made it impossible for me to conveniently get on and off even a low-seated ride like this, BUT... I think if it comes to America, and is affordable, it will sell well! Bat Man and old Darth should be first in line to fork over their space-bucks!
Leo (likin' the look of this one) in Texas
PS: I'd LOVE to see a factory side-car on this one, with matching cosmetics!

I keep waiting for machine guns to telescope out of the front fairing! I envision a cloud of fog with this bike and rider backlit, no headlight shining, bursts out of the fog with guns blazing, Dark Night all the way!

Gotta' agree, that seat is NOT attractive. Plus it's too angular for my tastes. Me, I still slobber for the sharky-looking Honda DN-01 >'Kat

Like Silvrekat, I must refer to the DN-01. Not only did the DN01 have more rounded bodywork, It also had a nice sounding V-twin. Lets hope the Vultus is far more affordable. The Vultus looks wierd, but may be more fun to ride than a maxi scooter. The DCT tranny is reputed to be much sportier than the typical belt driven CVT. Not even the Aprilia Mana has a DCT tranny. The bigger wheels won't be much of an advantage if there isn't more suspension travel than a maxi scooter.

Reminds me of the cycles on Terminator 4 except for the backrest which ruins the look . I hope it is detachable as it would be in the way for a passenger .
I bet it would cost so much that you could get a Shadow or other cruiser motorcycle for the same amount

Luke, your scooter has gone over to the dark side.

"I bet it would cost so much that you could get a Shadow or other cruiser motorcycle for the same amount." -skuttadawg. Agreed. It's cool, but will it be a better freeway commuter than a Shadow or Star 650? At least you can remove the windshield from a standard cruiser for sweaty summer riding. I think the Vultus is innovative, but would spent my money on the more conventional NT700 or standard cruiser. The new Harley Street 500 is also something I would consider, but that is a whole 'nother thread.

From the photo, it looks to me like the backrest must fold DOWN, thus BECOMING the passenger seat. If so, I'd just leave it down... LOL!
It's sharp, but like others like it, I imagine it's also pricey! Oh well, it LOOKS expensive, so maybe that's OK... Like I tell the big-bike boyz who "diss" my Minnie Mouse; "Ride what you can afford..." It beats the bejeebers out of walking!
Besides that, I've had MORE than my fair share of expensive big-bikes, and at this point in life, I've become a real fan of scooters!
Leo, ridin' what I can afford... (and can climb onto in my old age) in Texas

Leo, I agree you drive what you can afford. But that doesn't stop you from dreaming what you'd like, if you won the über-lottery. I also agree, if that backrest does fold down, it'd be down all the time if it was mine. Meanwhile, notice my dream scooter-cycle doesn't have an ugly foldup/down backrest? And that he's grinnin' ? I like a happy bike.... >'Kat

They put a Ruckus seat on a motorcycle. Now if they took the Silverwing and made a cargo bike version where the footrwell becomes enclosed cargo area capable of carring a weeks groceries or luggage for a two person weekend trip then they would be forward thinking and have a competative long distance touring bike.

Vultas, why would they name a motorcycle after a flying carrion eater?
