what year is it , pair system or EGR ? your engine is not even broken in yet .

John 2012, i think EGR but i'm not very familiar. true it is not broke in yet but it was running much better until i attempted to fix the lean condition. i'm not sure if i messed it up or if running lean for the past week has finally broke something. i'll tinker with it tomorrow, gotta go to work.

ok, so i was trying to remember exactly how and when the current symptoms started. obviously should have mentioned this earlier but my mind doesn't work as well as it used too.
after i drilled out the plug to access the screw i attempted to adjust with a homemade tool. it was difficult to reach but i did richen the mixture a little. drove it to work and back home everything was fine. the next day i rode 3 miles with no problems and then near my destination i noticed a loss of power. on my ride home acceleration was slow and top speed was 35mph indicated.
so now that you have the whole story what should i check first?

Check yo see if the air box or intake pipe is cracked . The sesled carbs suck .

John will do... also read some other ideas this morning. ignition coil, pick up coil, blown head gasket. i could try the ignition coil off my 50cc assuming they are the same. i have an extra new pick up coil for my atm50, i'll have to check if it fits the 150. i didn't notice if the head was loose when i adjusted the valves. any other ideas while i take a nap? i need sleep, been up all night. should i do a spark test before i waste my time swapping parts? would i even notice if it had a weak spark?

problem solved. moved the needle up 3 notches and put my 112 main jet in. i may have over compensated and might be running rich now. strange how it suddenly lost power... i don't know if i will ever master carburetors.
