hey guys, so I've had this Linhai scooter for about 2600 miles now, and i've never quite fixed the airbox. Before i bought the bike it has been outside for a while so the rubber connector piece dried out and doesn't quite connect with the airbox anymore. Either way i was thinking about buying an aftermarket one and not sure about which one will fit and what jet size to go with.
This is my first 250-260cc scooter and i just really wanna make it run right, if anyone has other ways to upgrade the scoot a little, please let me know

Got me an '06 Diamo Turista 260 for $500. 1900 miles. Can't beat that with a stick.

I'm gonna boot this thread up, as I've a question along these lines as the OP. I think the Linhai air cleaner setup is a joke, and want to replace it with something more 'dependable' than a piece of foam. I've read ideas to replace it with a high intake racing cleaner, but don't wish to have to rework/rejet the carb. Any ideas on this would be appreciated. (Diamo Turista 260, '06)

I hope Jim knows more than his company's website does. It's about a brain dead listing of things. Can't make heads or tails of it. But I don't want to install another 'stock part' on the Linhai. I want to put something BETTER than that simple foam 'air cleaner element' they have in the air box. What I'm thinking about is an oval shaped paper element that can fit inside the stock air box, to keep it's look and form. Perhaps to clamp to the rubber outlet part that's inside the box. I don't think the ram scoop the guy across the street has on his blocked up Trans/Camero is gonna work. Not to mention it's the wrong color.
