Well, here is an interesting little bit of information... I just called Gates to get this belt into our stock ASAP, and Gates USA doesn't offer a 918-22.5-30. At least this explains why we didn't have it.
The closest that Bando offers is a 918-22.3-28, which should work just fine. We'll order that on our next Bando order, but since their belts come from Japan, they take FOREVER to get here. Just a fair warning.

Thanks for the information. Did they state if any of the Gates overseas subsidiaries make/carry it?

Oh yeah, just how long is "Forever" from Japan?

They did not know about an overseas version, but if there was an established demand from this market (beyond us, anyway), Gates USA is usually pretty good about having it here. They did say that they'd look into it for us however.
Lead times from Bando are usually 3-5 months. They make a great product, but are undoubtedly one of our slowest to ship vendors.

By the time the Bando's are in stock, I'll have worn out my scooter and be shopping for a replacement! When the weather was nice, I was averaging about 1000 miles/month. Work commute/between sites, and an occassional Saturday trip into town. Scooter weather will be here any day now (current ice storm aside) and I'll be back to putting the miles on the scooter. At 4500 now, by 10k, the bike will have paid for itself in fuel savings and making me profit. I'll be looking for a better scoot shortly afterward as long as this one doesn't blow up before then...

By the time the Bando's are in stock, I'll have worn out my scooter and be shopping for a replacement! Yeah, if we were to just order a handful of belts we'd have them in no time, but due to our volume we tend to order entire production runs which changes the game dramatically. It's a give and take; this way we can offer a competitive price, but it takes a while to get product sometimes. This is why we work really really hard to make sure established product doesn't go out of stock. Matt
