Doing a top end rebuild in the morning. My camshaft bearing came apart a few days ago taking the chain off the sprocket. Just wondering when I do the build, is there a way to be sure the chain is on the right point of the pocket? Or is it a guess? I know it needs to be at TDC and the camshaft set accordingly. Worried about being a tooth or two off when putting the chain on.

if you streach the chain by hand and try to turn it it shouldnt turn so it has to be on the crank

Thanks, I got it figured out this morning. Needed a new top end, and just held the sprocket tight on the alignment marks. Got it on perfect 1st time.
