Retrobrian, THAT is a BEAUTIFUL scooter! How about giving us more info on it? And, WELCOME to the site! Leo in Texas Thanks for the compliment. I love using the forums. Helps me with whatever I ride/drive. Harley Gararge...Jeep Forum...etc I bought this scoot 3 weeks ago. Always wanted one. Just different. I ride it back and forth to work and just to relax. It's a 2013 BMS Chelsea 150. Puma has it out at a Valentine. I got it out the door (all Fees) from a small dealer here in San Diego for under $2k. I took the trunk off. I think it looks better this way. Im a good size guy (about 260lbs) and it pulls great. The more break in time the better I hope.

Yes, it IS sweet!
For us old guys, it is especially appealing since it looks even MORE like the great Vespa and Lambretta scoots of our youth than some of the other Italian-styled scooters. I'll bet you have folks asking if it's a restored vintage ride!
I'm about your size too, and today's 150's are more capable in general, than the older scoots of our youth. Whether it will be fast enough for your needs will depend largely on how and where you ride. I rode my 150 for six years, and it was fine until our local streets underwent a major "modernizing" which caused most of the leisurely 35-45mph routes I used to travel to jump to aggressive 50-65mph posted, with traffic often exceeding 75mph.
That is the only reason I traded off my much-loved little 150 for a used 250... But I found one that FEELS like, and would cosmetically pass for a 150... LOL! To get one even similar to yours in a larger displacement, one would about have to go with a 300cc Vespa, and even a NEW Vespa doesn't look CLOSE to as retro-neat as yours!
Enjoy that ride, and stay warm!
