Hey thanks, tarkus. At least I now know the why of crapanol. All comes down to politics anymore, doesn't it. Sigh. So was gasohol basically the same thing as ethanol is today? Just without the political backing to force-feed it? >'Kat I recall the old "gasohol" was a METHANOL blend. Methanol, of course, is highly corrosive & not suited for most vehicles. E10 has been a non-problem...run it for most of 15 years with no trouble. I usually do buy the cheapest gas, have had no issues.

As for E10 being a non-problem, I'm going to believe the unknown customer who worked something with gasoline, who told me to find clean gas for my '92. He had no reason to tell me this, esp after telling "there's no car on the road today that can't handle E10 fine." As long as the new QT sells clean gas, that's what's going in my wagon! Now if only I could find a reasonably close station that sells clean high-grade for my Piggy..... >'Kat
