Ya just never know what you'll learn next? Hmmm..... Gotta try. Which is quicker and easier -- separating yolk and white over the shell, or finding the bottle off the shelf, sucking up the yolk, squeeze it into a bowl, take the bottle to the sink and wash and put back into the shelf?

Find bowl = same Crack eggs = same Put egg shells in bowl = same
Drink soda before test, wash bottle, set bottle by bowl with cracked eggs = lost time
Start separating eggs old fashioned way = lost time Remove egg yolks with plastic bottle = faster than old fashioned way
Throw plastic bottle in trash, get fresh soda from frig and watch old fashioned way finish up = soda bottle winner.

I guess I really do it wrong I just eat the whole freaking egg. Always fresh from my own chicken farm. My cholesterol and blood pressure are well below worrying levels...

Throw plastic bottle in trash,... Bad JR. Bad. But surely you meant to write "Throw plastic bottle in recycle". That would make you good JR. Very good JR. Meanwhile, I agree that I eat the whole egg. And when we cook something needing just whites (like the Christmas Kiss cookies YUM!!), it's just as easy for the couple eggs doing it "old-fashioned" than finding the bottle etc. >'Kat

I guess I really do it wrong I just eat the whole freaking egg.... Depends on why you want the eggs for. I found a recipe for a killer egg nog, that starts with separating the white/yolks. In a big bowl I beat the yolks with sugar with an electric mixer for 10 minutes. Add rum and brandy. Add milk. In another bowl whip cream until it forms stiff peaks. The bowl of egg whites (forgot about them, did you) whip until it forms stiff peaks. Fold the egg whites into the big bowl. Fold the cream into the big bowl. I use all the whole egg, but they need to be separated while making the nog.

... when we cook something needing just whites (like the Christmas Kiss cookies YUM!!), .... Recipe time! I have a recipe for French vanilla ice cream that uses only the yolks. I need a recipe to use the whites. Here you go! Macaroon Cookies: 4 egg whites 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/4 teaspoon almond extract 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar 1 1/4 cups white sugar 1/4 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 1/2 cups flaked coconut 1.Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Grease and flour cookie sheet. 2.In a medium bowl, beat egg whites, vanilla extract, almond extract, and cream of tartar until soft peaks form. Gradually beat in sugar, and whip until stiff. Toss together flour, salt, and coconut in a separate bowl; fold into egg whites. Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheet. 3.Bake 18 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until slightly golden. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for easy removal.
