Better than never!
Thanks a ton for that link ! i was wondering exactly what would need to be done upon arrival
clearly i suspected a large box, i however did not anticipate the Metal cage hehe
that would have been a slight disappointment to me upon opening my box lol
suppose it is for the best though, considering the more often than not, harsh shipping conditions!

What speeds are you seeing on this Tomos scooter?
their website is listing this scoot as doing 30mph
witch would be Far Too Slow!
now i am going to naturally assume, stock, it goes faster than 30mph
but you know what they say about assuming, what mods do you have? ect

The Nitro-50 and Twister-50 does 35mph to 40mph once broken in. You won't get any faster then that without a license. You're willing to spend $2,200 so why not opt for the Nitro-150 for $1,700. The 2014 Nitro and Twister models will only be available in 50cc and 125cc. Kymco also has the Agility in 50cc and 125cc. No need to bottom feed.

That does appear to be an excellent scooter, suppose i can look into it one of my bigger issues, is the fact i only know 2 strokes, when repairing or adjusting that Tomos, i would have to spend either a lot of time on Google or put it in the shop, i suppose it's not to late to learn 4 strokes, can you tell me where Tomos manufacturers their scooters, or that exact model ? i will not over look the Tomos Scooters, as i know them to be a higher grade build that was, at least for me, Very dependable! i stole this picture from some random forum upon a google search, s.sbito.it/images/53/5390851728.jpgone of my buddys when i was oh, about 9 or 10 years old, had one of these sitting around in his storage area for few years, i traded him a Nerve brand bmx bike for it the scooter killed over at around 26k miles, and for all i know it could have been an extremely simple fix, after all, i was so young, and i knew absolutely nothing of engines at the time, n fact there were a few occasions that the poor baby did not get any 2T oil *face palm* but i do love the peppiness of a 2 stroke There's nothing worse than cruising along at a nice 40-43mph on your scoot and than some bastard on the same CC bike goe's blasting past you lmao Stupid typo's and editorial failures, note to self - finish at minimum, 1 cup coffee before responding to post's!

Tomos contracts with SYM in China to build their scooters. Tomos mopeds are completely made in Europe.

Relies heavily upon friends, neighbors or anyone really for sustenance. a slacker through and through. Bart wakes up and thinks to himself, "dang, i dont have any money still" so he leaves his wallet at home on purpose and later says to his friends, "Whoops, I forgot my wallet today again, could you please buy my lunch again?" what a bottom feeder. Are you calling me a bottom feeder ? lol not sure i understand how you are using this term in the above sentence ? but anyway - i do not have a motorcycle endorsement, and cannot / do not want to foot the bill for insurance at this time

Then you're stuck at a max of 30mph.

Tomos contracts with SYM in China to build their scooters. Tomos mopeds are completely made in Europe. What is the difference between a scooter and a moped in this example?

I suppose the answer to that question might vary by state law by Florida state definition
A scooter is something powered by Engine Only, I.E - a scooter with out peddles self operating engine powered vehicle
Where as A Moped''Motor-Peddle/Cycle'' is something Operated by either Starting it with peddles/human power with Motorized Assistance,
anything even in this above category ''mopeds'' - above 49cc or braking 2.5 horse power (for fl) will thereby be classified as a motorcycle and will require a motorcycle endorsement
it appears after further searching that Florida in fact does not require motorcyclists to have insurance -
In the state of Florida ''Mopeds'' or ''gas motorized bike's'' Do not require a license of any class or endorsement or insurance to operate ***HOW EVER - READERS BEWARE!***
in the state of Florida a Bike cannot be registered as a scooter, motorcycle, or moped as they do not come with MSO's or TITLES and therefor CANNOT be driven on road ways EVEN WHEN LICENSED
As well, The only things permitted on public sidewalks/walk ways and bike lanes are as follows: Skates, roller blades, ''push scooters'', bikes either electric powered or human *and must not exceed 20 mph*
There for motorized bikes are illegal to use unless on private property
i know you did not ask for the above information, i figured i would just toss it out there while i was at it
after all, knowledge is power

I've decided to halt my scooter shopping for the remainder of my waiting time on tax returns, and use what funds i have now to take a local motorcycle course for my M/1 license a local course actually provides 150 cc scooters upon request for the course, so i do not have to stress the fact i have never operated a manual transmission bike other than a 250cc ATV when i was like 14 so a good amount of year's ago upon further google searching i discovered that florida does not require motorcycle insurance so it cheaper in the long run, for me to get a mid grade 150-250cc scooter for the speed's i need i.e 50+ mph my 2004 eton beamer pn2 with a nice chamber pipe, jet, and a 72cc big bore kit did 57 mph all day long but so could a 150+cc scooter stock Thanks for all of your awesome response's and help in my search, once i get my M/1 license and my tax return, i shall open another poll and seek out suggestions on scooter's 150cc-500cc automatic transmission currently looking at a Tomos Nitro 150cc witch was recommended to me on this thread as a 50cc scooter americanpsycho ~

My Tomos was manufactured in Taiwan by SYM. It is the Tomos Twister 50 (a 49 cc 4 stroke). Tomos USA has a website at: www.tomosusa.com/pages. The Tomos website has a list of dealers by state.

WOOT! that will make it easier. upon further google searching i discovered that florida does not require motorcycle insurance do you have a link to this info? i thought insurance was mandatory on anything over 50cc. currently looking at a Tomos Nitro 150cc witch was recommended to me on this thread as a 50cc scooter i think dom has the same scoot and has been very happy with it.

My Twister 50 has a top end after break in 0f 42 MPH on level ground on the GPS. All I need for in town riding (mostly from home to my sailboat) or for running errands and trips to the store.
