Gold, because I don't even know what the other two items even are. I'm broke too, so i haven't a clue as to what we are voting on. Wise man/woman shop thrifty. (Kevin, shop at Dollar General so we can best relate) www.dollargeneral.com/home/index.jsp

Myrrh and frankincense are both from trees. I think they're resins, or maybe spices. I've heard they were amazingly valuable centuries ago. Maybe they still are. I don't know. I haven't really gone myrrh or frankincense shopping lately, ha. I think frank. was supposed to help digestion and arthritis if consumed, and myrrh was turned into an oil like a perfume, and I think was also commonly used to annoint a body at death.
So I'd say most macho would be myrrh, 'cause it takes some kind of macho to give a gift for death to a little child. But I'd rather have gold myself, 'cause I think it's more practical.

I pick gold, with that you could have bought Frankincense and Myrrh..
Frankincense and the other plant-derived treasure given to the newborn Jesus in the New Testament narrative—myrrh—have a long history dating back thousands of years. Though perhaps best known for their use in incense and ancient rituals, these substances—both of which boast proven antiseptic and inflammatory properties—were once considered effective remedies for everything from toothaches to leprosy.

Way back then, gold wasn't as valuable per ounce as was the Myrrh and Frankencense. That stuff was really expensive to obtain back then. Both items were popular for remedies and supposedly had healing and soothing properties too.
