ok guys this could be complicated to explain. Upon receiving my scoot, the electric start wasn't working ($350 purchase price). I took it to someone who said they had it hooked up backwards. I believe that it is wired to "work" but isnt the stock setup. the button was a different one so i assume someone along the line rigged it somehow. I replaced the button and I followed the wires. One goes to what i think is the starter solenoid. (round thing two large red wires coming out and this small wire) The second wire goes to a plug and on the other end of this plug there is a wire missing. ( you can see where it was cut). I guy i took it too said he fixed it and i saw with my own eyes it working. After getting back home it would not work for me and i assumed it was the battery because it was a small battery (4L). Also assumed this because after riding the scoot a lot every now and then the ES would work. I upgraded battery to a 7L, which should be plenty of power and still nothing. Side not-- There is an empty female plug in the vicinity of the solenoid and other plug. not sure if that is relevant
