I plan on using the following:
Bully Pager Alarm Lock Multiple cable Locks of various sizes Multiple Padlocks of various sizes Multiple Chains of various sizes Grip Lock 5-gal Bucket of cement. 50ft Extension Cord Cheapy Electric Chainsaw Insurance Policy
The whole idea is to make it as unappealing to thieves as possible. NOTHING will stop them if they want something bad enough.

3/8" cable and padlock thru the back wheel. Two guys can pick up a 125cc scooter and put in in a truck if it is not locked to something.

How long does it take to steal a scooter?

To all of you who are purchasing cables, chains, locks, etc, please look in the store next to those chains, you will see bolt cutters designed to cut through them in about 10 seconds! Just some food for thought.
Put an old Android phone on your scooter (hidden), and you can use Android Device Manager to locate your scooter, and even set off the ringer for 10 minutes at a time full blast as a sort of alarm.

Just some food for thought. That's why I'll be using several to slow them thief down if they try. FYI, there's some chains out there that bolt cutters and hacksaws will have a difficult time getting through.

i don't use any locks. i didn't pay much for my scoot. plus it doesn't look very appealing. broken mirror and some broken panels. originally i was only planning to keep this scoot for a year and then move up to a 150cc but now i have started doing some mods and am considering fixing the rest of the scoot also. so probably should start locking it up.
i like the Bully Pager Alarm Lock. haven't used it before but it seems like it would be perfect for me. if someone wants your scoot bad enough they are going to get it. a pager alarm lock would prevent kids from pushing it down the street which is my main concern.

You guys are all correct. One--if a thief wants your bike, he's gonna' get it. Two--chains etc mainly only keep honest folks honest. Three--if you make your bike harder to steal, the thief might pass for an easier target. Four--no chain can hold up against those chemicals thieves use to freeze and shatter chains. It's sad that some folks work just as hard at illegal gains as they would at a legit job. But there ya go. So don't leave your bike easy to grab, and hope the thieves go for the next guy's instead. Not that I wish ill on someone else. But maybe the next guy'll be Leo with one of his guns ready to protect. >'Kat
