My custom naked helix needs a gas tank. I am trying to find cylindrical looking tank but cannot find one. Any ideas?

you could get a small fuel cell from summit racing..... it would be a bit pricey but very cool!

I thought about that, but then I'd need lines and a strong pump, etc. I like this, but it is an oil tank.

Hey, that oil-tank looks promising!
One of the small "table-top" aluminum beer kegs works GREAT too, and you have the added benefit of emptying it... I've made several round-style tanks for karts, mini-bikes, etc. from metal coffee cans with a filler-neck and petcock fitting soldered in. Also, larger-capacity ones by soldering two of them together lengthwise. I simply cleaned them off, sanded the seams and torch-soldered them together with acid core lead solder. Never had one leak, or come apart with heavy use and vibrations. And they look GREAT once primed and painted. Also, look for used go-kart tanks, stationary-engine tanks, etc. Also check out old fire-extinguishers, air-tanks, aluminum cooking pots... Anything round. You can always cut in and insert a filler and petcock one way or another. Personally, I like the little beer keg, ESPECIALLY if it's all polished up!Good luck! Leo in Texas

Funky tank. Too big and too expensive, but cool nonetheless. link
