It was enlist in the Air Force for four years, or allowed to be drafted into the Army for two years with a guarantee of a visit to Viet Nam. The Air Force sent me to school for nine months, two and a half years to Athens, Greece (and six months in Georgia but ignore that). After that the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph hired me as a top technician and paid me for having fun.
I thank you for an fabulous 45-year career.

I'm a navy vet, was proud to serve, respect all vets, young & old. Thank you! I still remember those who did not make it back home!

Thank you for remembering John! I was fortunate enough to serve during peace time, so I put myself in the same shoes as everyone else thanking those who fought and sacrificed for all of us!

howdy, I want to also remember with fondness all those who have served and passed on such as our parents and uncles and such. I now appreciate much more than when I was young, some of the adaptations they made in order to serve and return to society as functional as possible.
lotsa miles and smiles to us and them ken

I wore my poppy-buddy all day yest. Sadly I had no "visible" vets come through for me to thank (and I don't believe in prying and asking).
But thank you to all our vets for their service. Because of you, I can live "rainbows and unicorns".
