Bought this impact wrench from harbor freight www.harborfreight.com/12-volt-1-2-half-inch-emergency-impact-wrench-92349.htmlI'm not sure how well it works on lug nuts on a car yet but it worked like magic removing the nut on my rear tire and clutch bell. At the price they are seeking it for its a steal!!! No more trying to figure out how to break loose those tight nuts and bolts. I'll update again tomorrow and let y'all know how it works on the car. Oh and I opted for the $9.99 24 month warranty. That starts after the in store warranty if days. So that gives the impact 27 months of warranty. That covers everyhing but theft.

I have the same impact wrench from HF. I also grabbed an 8' battery to cigarette lighter extension, cut off the battery clamps and wired it to my battery, then ran the wires under the floor and up the front fairing to just below the helmet hook. I haven't really finished installing it yet, trying to figure out a good weather proof mounting solution. So I can just plug the HF impact wrench into the cigarette socket and pop off my variator/clutch with no effort! Best $40 I've spent (wrench + extension)!

That Harbor Freight impact wrench is worth it weight in GOLD! I had a flywheel nut I couldn't get off and no plugin "Juice" where I was, but that little gun spun it off in three easy-peesey-squeezys. I also had a problem getting a starter clutch off a flywheel (not even a torch would get those bolts to move) ordered a 6mm hex head impact drive from ebay, and again in three squeezes it was all over. I also like the fact that it seems to be a bit gentler getting nuts and bolts off than my Milwaukee model.

Jerry. Get a marine grade outlet that has a cap on it. I'm going to put one in the button of the pocket by my Knees so I can also charge my cell phone. It dies fast when I have it hooked up the the stero that I had on the scooter and that I'm reinstalling this winter.

Yea I'm kicking myself for not getting this impact sooner. This should be one of the first things someone buys for themselves after purchasing a scooter.

Once you have learned (through hard experience) what one of these inexpensive impact wrenchs can save in time, money, and out and out frustration, you'll NEVER want to be without one!

I encountered the same problem years ago, on a 1984 Honda elite. I had a socket put in but it wasn't waterproof, and kept shorting out the system every time it rained or got wet. (Oh well, live and learn.)
