Wow! What a difference! After looking at JeepSteve's photo album I realized I may have put my sliders in wrong, (again). And that may have been the reason that I'm not maxing out my variator. Well, (3rd times the charm), that was most definitely the case. I had them laying down in the dish rather than standing up with the long flat side toward the center. Now at chinometer indicated 55, my rpms have dropped from over 9000 down to 6500! Before I struggled to reach 55 and now on a downhill run I managed 67 and still never broke 8000 rpm! Holy Mackerel! I may even be able to run the next size lighter sliders to bring the rpm's up a little. I'm excited now to see how much difference this is going to make in my fuel mileage. Stay tuned!
