Just a quick plug for MOXIE SCOOTERS in Colleyville, TX.
I just traded my 2007 Xingyue Eagle 150 on a used 2007 Kymco Grand Vista 250. Moxie is a first-class dealership, featuring new scoots from Kymco, SYM and Genuine. A great selection, even including the all-steel STELLA clutch n' gears Vespa clones. They also have the vintage-style SIDE-CARS for the Stella. They also usually have a decent selection of used scoots, too.
You can find them on the Internet, and there are some good videos from MRP featuring Moxie. This is one dealer who cares about their customers, and doesn't trash Chinese scoots, either.
Worth a look if you're in the Dallas, TX area!

THAT'S the ONE! That is John Raimondi, the owner. A really friendly guy who cares about customers! He personally detailed the old Kymco 250 while I waited, filled the tank with gas and checked and topped-off the radiator, showing me how to service it. He also made sure to instruct me on all the "nuances" of the scoot (which is quite different in setup to my old one). He spent more than two hours making sure I was all set before I left with the Kymco. THAT is the kind of service that spreads the word to other buyers, and keeps you coming back. I must admit that after looking at every kind of scoot on the planet, I'm pretty impressed with Kymco, both new and used. A lot of heavy-duty construction and quality design in them. My '07 Grand Vista is admittedly light-years out-of-date compared to new models, but all the bells and whistles still function perfectly, and she's good and tight. No rattles, wobbles or signs of "getting tired"... LOL! I love the "scooter" look of the little 12" wheels, and, wondered if they'd be all that great at highway speeds. No problem at all. 75 mph on them is smooth and steady as a big touring motorcycle, and, they add to the low-speed, tight-traffic "scooting" handling. A great mix of "scooting and touring" multi-tasking!My only complaint is lack of on-board storage. For a "touring" scooter, it's mighty short on carry-space. The ONLY storage is under the seat, and THAT is tiny... Only a few inches deep. Put a few tools in there, and all storage space is gone. Other than that, it's great! Rides like a Cadillac, goes like a small motorcycle and stops like you threw out an anchor... Pretty sweet! I'll probably replace the moderate-sized aftermarket trunk with a BIG one, and get a set of throw-over saddlebags. If you're looking for a scooter, and are near Dallas/Fort Worth, TX Moxie is a great place to start. Also, DFW Honda which is almost in my back yard, is a GREAT dealer too. They had no used scooters that would work for me, but they too REALLY care for the customer. Gave me a whole selection of carb jets back when I was tuning my Chinese 150, and they too have good prices. Buy cheap, ride safe!Leo

I just happened to think... If anyone out there would like "Lil' Bubba" and all its bells and whistles, I'm sure he's for sale at Moxie! (Probably for around $500). That little scoot was GOOD to me for more than five seasons, and still looks almost as good as new, and runs a whole lot BETTER than new...

Well a day or two ago. (just out of idle curiosity) I went to the Moxie scooter web site and looked at the preowned section, but didn't see anything resembling "Lil Bubba" listed.

For some reason, Moxie never seems to list used scooters, even though they have a place on their site. I don't know why, but they are somewhat short-handed and probably there is little time for anybody there to update the site... Only a guess? Leo

Wish I had a local dealer that was like you described Moxie. When I bought my scooter new a year ago all they did was have me sign the papers and hand me the keys. Good things I have a little common sense or i would have been I trouble. Back over the summer when I had 5 scooters and company would want to ride one if them they had deal with me going over everyhing and about a hour of riding around the neighborhood with me before I would cut them loose. Some never made it past the hour and gave up. It's amazing to me how any pretty have trouble learning to ride a scooter. Back to the topic.... Again i wished the scooter sales and rental place spent that much time educating people before preying them leave the lots. Here it's a turn and burn mentality.
