Since I switched to the clear lines I can se an air gap between the petcock and the carb fuel inlet. When its running i see it trickle like an IV. IS this correct or should there be no air in there?  |

Mine has air in it like that I switched to a manual shutoff and no differance it runs fine and doesnt act like its starving for fuel so guess it ok

It's only too little if that line goes empty.
You have certainly studied this new scoot a lot since you got it. Now go ride it and quit looking at it.
