Mines a Deni without an accelerator pump. Is there a quick way to tell one from another?
I understand that adjusting the AF on a CV is different than other styles. First off the adjustment direction has the oposit effect from one to the other meaning one way is lean while the other direction is lean on the other. What comes on most of our scoots and is mine a CV or a slide?

It should be a CV style carb. If the throttle cable attaches on the side of the carb it is a CV type. If the throttle cable to the top center of the carb it is a Slide style.

CV and slide are generally interchangable terms in the way things are advertised while a purist may beg to differ. You will know if yours is a Constant Velocity carb if there is a vacuume diaprhagm at a right angle to the bore of the carb. f you open the throttle and look down the bore without the engine running you will see the slide mostly closed behind it while with the engine running you will see it open a moment after you open the throttle plates and find a neutral position to float at depending on the engine load. That way it maintains a constant air velocity across the venturie.
