Hi guys, I bought a new 2008 Linhai Aeolus 300 six months ago and now have a little over 400 miles on it. I’m going to take it to get serviced. What do I need done? I’m assuming changing all (engine oil, transmission, anti-freeze & brake) the fluids and have the valve adjusted. Anything else? I live in Gwinnett County about 45 miles north of Atlanta , what should I expect to pay? Any other riders in the area? Any recommendations of where I should go? I called Scooter World in Lawrenceville and was quoted $155 for labor plus parts. Is that reasonable? Thanks!

its not very hard, do it all yourself and save the $ the only thing that might be a bit difficult is burping your radiator , but people on here will tell you how to do it
or is this under warranty?

+1, do it yourself! It just needs an oilchange, engine and CVT which I presume are overdue. Oilchange on those are very easy to do!
No valve adjustment until you notice decrease in performance/mpg (usually after 4k miles check, but I believed the Aeolus had a valve adjustment ~8k miles). Also put a squirt of seafoam in the gasoline. I found a product that works better than seafoam in restoring compression, but I forgot to write down the name of it.
Aside from that, just visually check bolts and nuts, and tighten some if necessary. Bolts that usually come out first are exhaust bolts, and rear fender on chinese scoots. I don't know on your scoot. Also try to visually check the fuel lines and fuel clips, for breaks, or anything unusual on the bike.

Thanks, but I'm not a mechanical type person. Although I could learn. A great resource would be a video library of “how to” videos for general maintenance and repairs.

It exists! It's called "Youtube", and I'm sure there are video's of your bike. But even if not, I used to have a BMS TXB260 EFI, which is practically the same bike as yours in a different coat, you can find oil change video's of that one. The aeolus is almost the same, bolts are nearly on the same spot, procedures are the same. All you need is probably 2 wrenches or keys, one can of 10W40 engine oil, and 80W90 CVT oil, (costs like $5+$10 in autozone/autoparts), and an oilpan to capture the bad oil.

I also live in Gwinnett County with an Aeolus 300. When I first bought my used bike, I brought it to Scooter World to flush the radiator, change brake fluids - all the normal stuff. I do my oil changes on my own - it's really easy (in fact, I need to do that today!). There's a great place to get tires in Lawrenceville (Two Brothers Tires www.twobrotherstires.com/). They work only on motorcycles, but will take the big scooters if you ask nice. Prices are very reasonable, and they do a great job! Connect with me sometime - maybe we can go for a ride. It's getting nice outside - actually planning to head out today, maybe run to Forty Yargo State Park! Ride safe, and enjoy your bike!
