I need help with my 2009 Honda Metropolitan I just hit 800 km's today.
I started to hear a weired noise so I removed the belt cover and found that the belt has no tension on it at all how do I fix it and is it safe to ride the way it is?

How slack is the tension ? On a Honda I would expect a lot more miles out of the factory belt as I am told they use Bandos .
Describe the noise . Is it the belt slipping ?

The noise is caused by the belt hitting the aluminum case and when the bike is not running it is resting on the aluminum case I know it is suposed to have more tension then that on the belt.
I will add pics of it latter.

I ran the bike with out the belt cover on it you can see how much slack is in the belt and you can hear it slap off the aluminum case. Attachments:

Can you move the variator and clutch pulley in and out?? One of them is likely not moving freely enough to keep tension on the belt...

The belt has tension on it now I don't know why it had no tension on it before I did not do anything to it.
