I have a wildfire 300 which is backfiring .. i presume, since i didnt check the valves at 1000 miles, they need it now at 3500 ... i understand this unit is a copycat of a linhaih (yamaha company) and there is a brief descrip. in the owner pamphlet pdf but there is always more than, inbetween the steps ~ -

Also, some backfiring or popping during decel could mean that it's running lean. Adjust the A/F mixture for a little more fuel.
