What is the maximum charging current that most 50 cc Chinese scooters can supply to the battery?

Depends on the stator , rectifier , battery and wattage of lights . Many opt to get a trickle charger around 1/2 AMP in the winter time to keep the battery charged .
Are you have trouble with it charging the battery ? How old is the battery ? Had the battery tested at an autopart store ?

If your charging system is healthy it should run around 13 volts DC at idle to 14.5 volts DC when the RPM's are up.

I am just curious as to what the MAXIMUM charging current (amps) is on a TYPICAL 50 cc Chinese 4 stroke scooter. My scooter is charging fine and I have a Battery Tender Junior capable of putting out a max of 750 milliamps which I use whenever th scooter will sit idle for several days or more.

500ma is good 750 ma or 3/4 amp is ok too but you really should'nt go any that with a charger. you could ruin the battery, especially if it's a cheap one.
