Hello to all, I recently bought almost new 2008 Linhai Aeolus from someone i know, he said that he barely drove it and all the sudden it lost spark. I've been looking around the forums on how to go about testing whats wrong but have not been successful. This unit has a T.C.I ignition system and is different from CDI. I went ahead and ordered a coil just because it was cheap, Please help me out guys!! its so sad to see this brand new scoot just sitting there and not working

[replyingto=konstantinscoot]konstantinscoot[/replyingto]I think you are on the right track. My scooter is a 2006 and the coils went out on me around 6-7K. The CDI went about the same time which made it really difficult to diagnose. Are you at least getting the headlights to turn on? Just making sure it is not your battery. Finally, this question has to be asked... is your side kickstand down? If so, you know it will not start with it down. Hopefully, someone with some actual knowledge will jump in and help. Good luck.

If it isn't getting power at all most likely one of the starter lock-out switches is malfunctioning. Check them all brakes and stand...

Does your meter have a continuity setting? If so use that. If not usually they will pass voltage when you activate them so you can use a test light, though with the brake switches normally they are good if the brake light works. You should check for voltage at the CDI with the brakes on and sidestand up right??

Gotta press one of the brakes in to be able to start it Exactly, so yes Spandi they do. My Burgman had one on the sidestand too. The Vespa will start anytime no lock outs at all...
