my 20 plus yr old holmelite still kicks ...but it's a lil heavy your arm's get tired unless you got popeye arms like me lol....

My first was a late 1040's Remmington Mall similar to the one in the video below only mine had the shorter 40 inch bar on it. It had a worm drive so the blade could swivel for verticle or horizontal cutting and any angle in between. You could spin the blade 180 degrees to undercutt with the chain pulling instead of pushing back at you. It had what they called a SharksTooth chain and the saws were know as WidowMakers. Big and heavy so you usually needed a few helpers to carry the saw out to the work area and then carry you and the saw back home when you were done.

 WorX has a 16" bar, 14.5 amps, 3.5 peak horsepower -- sits in the garage, ignored. After a year of not being run, need it, plug it in and it works without any work or pulling or fiddling with stale gasoline. |

That's why you run the saw until it's dry. No worries then about stale fuel.
