A few have drilled out the stock muffler to improve flow and will require a larger main jet as would an after market exhaust too . Many of the aftermarket exhaust use straps instead of having brackets so research your scooter and exhaust you find before buying or having to " MacGyver " it . Many stock exhaust seem to be made out of crappy metal that rots and breaks so an after market exhaust will most likely be better . I have laughed at some kits with expensive price for a generic name . Here is a couple under Chinese and maybe under the Leo Vince ( very good brand ) www.scooterdomain.com/chinese-parts/dirt-bike-scooter-atv-motor-cycle/exhaust-pipes/street-legal-scooters.html You may luck out and get a used exhaust as some after market ones are loud like my PM Tuning pipe that I bought used from another scooter forum . My scooter dealer had a Keeway Matrix , which is normally a 2T ( 2 stroke ) Minarelli engine but it has a GY6 150 with a Minarelli exhaust pipe . Some stock 2Ts only have a tube and muffler where the tuned pipes have an expansion chamber often with the pipe bending 180 degrees forward where the muffler attaches . He said he did not really see an improvement over it having a 2T exhaust , but I have read a few posts here where a few have used a 2T exhaust on a 4T engine . I wish I could have heard and run before they sold it . There used to be a video on YT where a guy put on 85cc BBK , carb off of a Honda XR80 ( off road motorcycle ) , gutted the baffling and rewelded it together , cut off the nozzle tip and welded on a larger one from a scrap piece of pipe . Should you design to MacGyver a pipe there is risk you may mess it up but is free providing you have the tools and know how . If you mod or buy a used pipe I would get some VHT ( very high temperature , which is also a brand and term used for exhaust and engine paint ) instead of trying standard spray paint in a car that will burn off .
