For those of you that followed my soft seize post....I found one of the culprits. I wondered why one night my reservoir was 1/2 full and the next morning quite a bit higher. Yup..the black you see is the oil...the clear is the water beneath it...and since our oil reservoirs empty from the bottom into the oil pump..I was getting ZERO oil...just water. I am totally surprised it even ran at all!!! It soft seized daily..except the other day I rode to Fennville and back..a town 8 miles away. Not a single glitch..was just down on power from the 7 previous soft seizes and now lower compression. Later that night my roomie needed smokes..so I went to get them for her. We are 1/2 mile from a small store in town. It soft seized as soon as I pulled into the parking lot. Checked everything over this morning and found nothing...so I rode it about 40 miles in all and not a problem. Went to Ryans house an hour later..about 1 mile away...did fine. Headed back home and 1/4 mile..seized again! Let it cool...fired right up..got 50 feet..seized..let it cool..fired right up..50 feet later..seized. Pushed it 3/4 mile home. We put premix in the tank and pulled the oil line to check pump...5 mins of nothing but pure water came out!! Had to drain and flush the ENTIRE oil system. Where the water came from is beyond me..but it has cost me 3 BBK's so far.. Anybody ever see or have this happen? Attachments:

How did it get water in the oil tank ? What spark plug do you use ? My dealer told me about a client with a 2T that would idle fine but soft seize in a mile since he had too hot a plug . I switched from 7 to a BRP8HIX

I switched from 7 to a BRP8HIX Kevin I use BRP8HIX also. @ Kevin and sailracer...that much oil was not condensation or from the little bit of rain we had..because the reservoir is sealed tightly with a rubber cap. Just like the TV show...I was 'Punked'.. We have lots of car and other vehicle vandalism here in town. Everyone knows the family of 5 boys that do it because they have been caught...yet NOT ONE charge has been placed by the local county Sheriff Dept...

Yup, gotta agree. If you don't have a water cooled engine, and if your oil level was where it should be, and later it's higher, with water in it, then you have malicious gremlins. Even with high humidity, you couldn't condensate that amount of moisture in a couple of days. You don't have a small child who is "helping" you by chance?

Even with high humidity, you couldn't condensate that amount of moisture in a couple of days. You don't have a small child who is "helping" you by chance? No sir..my children are all adults. My neighbor kids are 2 months old and another is 18 months old. Even my roomie said it was suspicious due to the amount...and she is not mechanically inclined in the least!! About twice a week we here someone outback messing with our scoots..but we have a SUPER HEAVY log chain to secure them. You cannot even move that chain an inch without a whole of noise being made. 3 times I woke and heard somebody...snuck out the front and went around back to confront them. The first 2 times the fled to the woods when they saw(my unloaded)Colt 1911 with TAC light and laser sight pointed at them. The 3rd guy I walked right up on with 8" stainless steel .357 in one hand...laser sight in the other. He fled 30yds to the wood line and stood beside a tree. I put the handheld laser om him and he simply crouched down and got behind the tree. A minute later he pops out from the other side of the tree!! He had the entire woods to use an escape route yet he stuck around?? I fired one round into the air and he departed swiftly. Went in to call the Police. When they arrived..they said they were gonna deny hearing about a round fired into the air as it was Illegal and could be tried as attempted murder second class felony. I was informed..we have NO RIGHT to defend our property as that is THEIR job. HUH?When do they do that?...45 mins after you call. Also was told even defending your life with a firearm...causing death is often tried as a lower form of homicide.?? Yet the Gov wonders why we have so many criminals... they need to read my post right here..that will tell them why. Bottom line...that much water in the oil reservoir was NOT an accident or coincidence. Most likely a payback by the many I have caught trying to steal our Scoots....or vandalism by one of our many local low lifes that are well know for messing with folks cars. So anyway...So new BBK goes in today...since this one has less than 90psi left...and barely runs..

One way to find out. larry..good idea...cause they always use the same trail from town..through the woods to the apartments and houses that get broken in to. We do have a serious ground hog problem around here...so if I set out 5-6 Medium #5 traps...I may resolve the ground hog problem. Sad part is..if one of thieves and vandals around us that always travel 1 a.m. till 5 a.m. Well..they could step in one and get a serious...Boo Boo owwie...Gee that would suck... ;D

Unfortunately setting a bear trap as a mantrap is illegal in most places. There is the more humane heat seeking lawn sprinklers which are used to repel deer and yard pests to consider: zedomax.com/blog/tech/motion-activated-sprinkler-protects-against-rodents/It would be quite unsavory if you had a liquid fetilizer tank in-line with it that had been left unattended too long and the fish based or other organic fertilizer in it went rancid and got sprayed on someone trespassing on your property at night. You can even mix up your own custom formulation and give it a very personal touch. Consuming a six pack of beer may help you with getting the formulation just right.
