So far the only complaint Indian customers seem to have is the paint isn't as good as Harley (Harley lays down some really nice paint), but I agree with Leo... Beautiful bikes. The only other American Alternative has been the Victory (also built by Polaris). The Motor in the new Indian is just an engineering masterpiece. It's made to look like an old flat head but it's not a flat head. Very Cool!

Yes that is a beautiful part of the country. We are full time RVers and license our vehicles there--lot cheaper. Last time we were there I rode my Reflex through the hills (which were "alive with the sound of"--Harleys.) Just now we are in north central AR and with all of the rain they have been getting it is a green jungle, and the winding roads---AHHHHH.

Skyrider if you mean Arkansas by AR , I am not a american , then you have some nice riding close at hand , I rode my burger down from Canada one yr to a mega scooter rally on the west side of the state, the mountains there a beautiful to ride. I did a few yrs of fulltime , I bought a older 32 ft class A and 30 ft enclosed trailer behind and headed south from Canada . I now live in panama , lived in the coach for 3 yrs while I built my house , need to clean it up and try to sell it , not doing any good sitting in my yard

As well as a nightmare for the Asian V-Twin Harley "wannabes". Please, my Kawasaki Vulcan Classic neither has or want to be a Harley. It is perfect as it is, smooth ride, no need for earplugs to ride it and takes me anywhere a Harley will take anyone else. Metrics have their own followers and I don't think they are Harley's wannabe riders either. That Indian bike sure looks fine. If it dont ride like a Harley it would be something I could get very attached to... In a funnier note, this is all I can think of when someone talks about Harley's, I swear, it is South Park fault... It's a wonderful experience. Lots to see and witness, but its also a place where you need to keep your eyes open at all times due to the amount of alcohol and such.
The other thing, it's not just the ride there, its all the riding once you get there. I'd say go and enjoy the experience
