measured at the red wire from the regulator, 5.6VDC at idle, 7.04VDC rev'ed up
I've ran it long enough on measuring that the battery is down to 11VDC. Gotta throw the charger on it for a bit.

On the trickle charger, when I rolled the scoot back into the garage, the volt meter showed 12.9 - with the fuel pump running. I will recheck all the measurements tonight.

battery after a night if trickle charge = 13.2VDC, after the fuel pump has shut off, not running, so no lights are on. Rode for about 20 minutes At higher RPM it stayed up at 13.4VDC, but at idle, it drops to 12.1VDC. Now at rest, the batter is at 12.7VDC after the fuel pump has shut off.

Giving the battery an overnight charge, riding it to work tomorrow. I've been keeping the rides close and fairly short. After my 20 minute ride this afternoon, the voltage regulator was stone cold.

Rode to work, 6.24 miles, 53.69mph top speed recorded, 13.4VDC on the display. 12.1VDC at idle (headlight and fuel pump running). I think it was 12.9VDC when I rechecked the static voltage after I shut the motor off.

Thanks John
The new regulator arrived today. Couple minutes to install. At idle it was already 12.4V, and anything above idle was 13.7VDCFor sure better, Even coming down off a rev, it stays at 13.4V until it has idled for several seconds.

We had rain off and on Sunday so I didn't get anything done outside. Raining this morning, so no scooter ride to work. Maybe this evening...

I tried brushing the black against the ground and at idle the voltage stayed at 12.6VDC on the DVM I tried again with a bit of reving, not a lot, cause I only have so many hands. The DVM showed 14VDC while the gauge showed 13.5VDC. I'll have to recheck the connections for the gauge. They were closer to even before.
brushing the black to ground makes no change.
