A problem has developed on my baby. It idles very high when restarting. It does this even if it has been off only 15 minutes. Once I get to riding it starts to idle down normally after a little bit. It is strange as the motor runs perfectly otherwise. I have checked for vacuum leaks loose intake bolts etc. all appear good. They are new lines and the intake only has about 1500 miles on it. Every thing else is good. It has good get up and go. I adjusted the fuel and idle and it still does it. Could it be the enricher?. Any ideas guys?.
P.S.
This is my first post on the new forum. Sad to see scootdawg go but it is what it is. I trust this place will be just as friendly and helpful as scootdawg was.

Yes it idles down. On cold days it takes a little longer. The first start in the morning is fine. Every start after is the same problem. I can live with it as the motor runs good afterward. It is just annoying as all get out.

Terrilee is right on, when the motors are cold the ENRICHER feeds extra fuel and as soon as the motor starts it starts to feed voltage to the ENRICHER and as it heats up it EXTENDS the plunger out and within3-5 minutes it cuts off the extra fuel. With the temps being cold the ENRICHER COOLS off rather quick and the PLUNGER retracts that is why like you say with only 15 or so minutes of being shut off it does it again. It is normal and working as it should PROVIDED the IDLE COMES down in about 5 minutes or so. Alleyoop
