it's been sitting in my desk draw for weeks. had i known how much easier it would be to tune my scooter i would have done it much sooner. i had no idea my idle was set too high (2300) and all this time i thought my rpm's were approaching 10,000 at WOT but it maxed out at 7580 until i went down a hill and hit 8150. that is a big relief for me. i was always hesitant to ride WOT for more than a mile when i thought i was over the redline. messed around with the carb a little and got my idle down to about 1800. seems to run a little smoother now. i'll never go without a tach again.

howdy, now if mine would just install itself---- lotsa miles and smiles to ya ken lol... it was actually easier than i would have thought. i used the 2-way tape, stuck it right under the fuel gauge. had to remove the front panel to feed the wire. some plastic is broke on my scoot so i was able to feed it the rest of the way without removing the panels below the floor board. wrapped it 5 times around the spark plug wire, secured it with electrical tape and Voilà.

howdy, did it come with the two way tape? where did you get it?. i had the bv500 and traded it for the bv350 and it feels like it is turning quite a bit faster. it is fairly impressive for a 330cc machine though with 33 horses. i just rode it across the desert and it did as well as the 500 would have. i can go nearly pmh if i want. you can see it in the it is the ride. really section. i just ride the speed limit and never worry about it. since i discovered i can turn my toes outward and get a more "cruiser" position , it has been more comfortable. sorry 'bout the ramblin lotsa miles and smiles to ya ken

howdy, did it come with the two way tape? where did you get it?. lotsa miles and smiles to ya ken yes, comes with 2-way tape. it is small, about the size of my thumb which actually works out perfect. doesn't take up too much space. supposedly it is water proof but if it gets damaged i will put the next one under the plastic. really only need it for tuning but it looks cool on the dashboard. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0031BH2VA/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1i've seen cheaper tachs on ebay but this one looks/works gr8 imo. Just wandering what was your speed at 7580? And at 8150? the speedometer read 47mph @ 7580 and 52mph @ 8150... i'm not certain how accurate my speedo is. probably figure 5mph less is closer to actual speed.
