I bought Pirellis, and the difference between them and the Chinese OEM stuff is like night and day. You could squeeze the unmounted China product like a Nerf ball, trying to do the same with the Pirelli was like trying to squeeze a block of wood.

I have used Sava (Slovinian division of Goodyear), Pirelli and Dunlop but get the motorcycle metric cruiser tires instead of the lighter scooter tires. The give me longer service and handle wet roads better. Expressway manners are a bit better too. If you have a scooter with large enough wheels to get into the more mainstream motorcycle tires from the major brands then go for it. If you like the Pirelli SL1 then you'll like the Route66 or Diablo even better.
