Hello everyone hope someone can help me out I own a 2012 vip 49cc scooter I live in Colorado and was wondering what jet size's I should use with high altitude my scooter is all stock right now but I just orderd a new carb from amazon it comes with a main jet#75 and pilot jet #35, my stock carb I have no idea what size jet it has but know it runs poor i got tired of fooling with the stock carb it bogs out when I take off and if im wot and let it off then try to give it gas again it bogs out i have cleaned the carb sevral times tried adjusting a/f screw and cant get it to run good even sometimes it stalls out when i stop at a light or stop sign, the only thing i have ever done to the scooter is put a ngk spark plug and change out the oils. just wanted to know what size jets are good at high altitudes this it the carb i orderd www.amazon.com/Carburetor-Assembly-50cc-Stroke-Built-/dp/B005CWSBT8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1374305595&sr=8-1&keywords=gy6+50cc+carburetor so if any one can awnser my ? it would be great.

id go with a k&N style air filter the uni filters are real popular with a lot of these guys. you definetly need more air coming through that engine. I wouldnt mess with your jets just try to get a bigger less restrictive air filter would be my top priority. GL

Try to find a good deal on a set of jets say 68-73 Main and 30-34 pilot in whatever increments they have and work your way down. I also would say try a good uni pod filter and see how that alone does first.
