No rust yet... But I've only had it for a few months, and it generally gets driven for long runs, so plenty of time to cook any moisture out of the muffler...

I took mine off first thing and coated it with Rustoleum high temperature black (semi gloss) and just let the motor "cook" it. At least it won't rust from the OUTSIDE.

After a few years, you may have the lightest-weight exhaust around... Like the big ocean-liners, when they come into dry-dock for refurbishing, sometimes when they lift off the stacks, they are ONLY paint... Dozens of coats of paint, but the steel stacks completely rusted away from the inside.
It's sorta like building your own carbon-fiber exhaust on the installment plan... LOL!
That Rustoleum works pretty well... It'll probably still be bolted on when the muff has rusted away, vaporized and become an airborne part (particle?) of history...
I've had bikes AND cars that were primarily Bondo, and/or paint. Hey, LIGHTER means FASTER!

I was at Roketa's website viewing pictures of their MC-54-250 and MC-54b-250. I noticed that the two versions have different speed gauges. The 54 has Km/h in large orange font and mph in small blue font and the 54b has it the other way around. MC-54-250: MC-54b-250: I'd assume the odometer on the MC-54-250 records distance traveled in kilometers and the MC-54b-250 in miles. I'm curious to know which of those speed gauges your Jonway has and whether it records distance traveled in kilometers or miles.

If its the one with the MPH in blue on the inside the Odometer registers in Kilometers that is the one that is on my Trike. Alleyoop

It'll probably NEVER collapse... That paint is tough! LOL!
Seriously, the exhausts on these is one of the most fun items to mess with. The header and muffler combinations never end! From Briggs & Stratton stationary engine mufflers, to automotive "Cherry-Bombs" to motorcycle cans, to even 2-stroke "chamber" pipes like used with GREAT success on my old Xingyue 150... What a selection! A little strap-metal for a mounting and you can do about anything...
But if you do ever change it out, I strongly recommend you make sure to use a header as large as the exhaust port. That seemed to make more difference on mine than the muffler itself...
