ok, i will start off by saying i am not 100% certain where these creatures came from. all i know is my room is infested with ants. no other room has an ant problem and i have nearly every box from recent shipments sitting in the corner . i can't see where they are coming from, they are so small and blend in with everything. lesson of the day: throw away packing material immediately or suffer the consequences... anyone know a cheap way to get rid of ants?

Ant baits inside and Ortho ant granuals along the foundation outside. Check the cable, phone and power lines too as they will use the wires to cross the yard and get into the house.
The ants can be attracted by circuit boards and anti-rust wax on machine parts along with the packaging.

All the rain the past few weeks is also driving them out. I am getting some in my kitchen which are bypassing the baits and I used 2 different kinds sugar water and a solid inside the house along with the granuals along the foundation. I will probably try the old fashioned tins that you puncture which are filled with peanut butter. These really come out if you open a can of Tuna.
All part of Florida life when the rainy season hits.
