Valves set them to .003 inchs, as far as the jetting goes, try a 72 or 75 for the main jet. It is a trial an error thing all depends on your motor and what it can take.
also 35mph is not bad for that setup they are made to do 30mph stock. Alleyoop

Thanks Alley..... The 49cc carb came with a 78 ...do you think that 78 is too much? I figured that because the.... 49cc = 78 jet then 60cc = 80- I will tighten the valves to .003 and try the 72/75 Right now it is free flow with , and .004/.005 valves

Usually a 72cc setup requires an main, but if it is running good with the 78 then that is fine. But yea your valves are a little to open for the 50cc the .004 and .005 are usually for the 150cc motors. You will get a little more power setting them at .003 inchs. Running with the 78main jet any problems with it at Wide Open Throttle any sounds coming from the motor at Wide Open Throttle? You can run it at WIDE OPEN and then BACK OFF THE THROTTLE 1/4 inch and hold it there and see with the scoot does. A. If it speeds up more it is LEAN B. If it does nothing same speed it is RICH, then you may want to try the 75. Alleyoop
