It is advisable that if you dont know what you are doing have a backup plan or prepare for down time just in case! Many of us learn on the job so to say and have had to deal with many setbacks and errors. Just a part of the growing process.
What might you be needing to do to to your carb?

I found it, im adjusting the idle speed and Air/fuel ratio. Had to remove my oil tank to get to it, but it popped off with a little bit of muscle! I love working on my little baby

You should only adjust those 2 screws when the engine is at operating temperature (HOT) Or you will have issues...

Don't be scared to work on your scooter its a great thing to tinker with and learn how engines work and what makes more power. And if you mess something up its cheap to replace. I like working on it more than riding.

I would suggest looking at the repair manuals on this forum. Just looking through those will give you a ton of info, and you'll become more familiar with details of.... basically everything.
