I just finished putting my Rocketa 150cc back together with new clutch/variator. Thanks to several people out there on his website.
Scooter is very slow to accel at the stoplight/sign. When I twist open the throttle it sputters a little, so I relax the throttle position and then re-twist. The engine catches up and away we go at a normal pace. The scoot runs very nice at the high end speeds. Going downhill, the engine has an inordinate amount of popping while at a closed throttle position.
On the kickstand, with no load on the scooter, the engine idles and accelerates normally.
The carb has been thoroughly cleaned, and I think that I have adjusted the F/A mixture according to Allyoop's instructions, though I dont have tach. Had to do it by ear.
I am planning on replacing the 14g rollers at the suggestion of others, to 13 g, but I think I may still have a low speed bog down problem, but not real sure.
As always, a little guidance is very appreciative. thx jt

Good job, just some minor tweaks to get it running the way you like and getting the motor running good. After adjusting the carb on the center stand and having it run good it may need a tweak when a load is put on the motor but the tweaks should be minor.
The Popping is it is running LEAN on decel, You can try turning the idle up a little so the butterfly leaves more of the tiny fuel outlets open when the throttle is closed to allow more fuel to be sucked in. And or you can richen up the fuel ratio try 1/4 turn at a time and try it.
The 13s will give you more ump starting off and getting up to speed quicker. You may find that you need 12s, it is all trial and error due to the power the motor is producing. Alleyoop

I turned the FA mixture screw 1/4 turn clockwise. Not much difference in the low end acceleration on the kickstand.
Further analysis/observations: On the test run this morning, the engine isnt powering up until about 1/3 throttle movement. In addition, there is a spot in the throttle where the engine nearly bogs to shutdown. Both observations originate from a full stop or very slow speed. Once you get pass these two areas of throttle lag, the scooter moves out.
Lastly, I noticed while adjusting the carb FA mixture that there seems to be air in the fuel filter. In otherwords, it's not completely filled up. Vacuum leak?
Any ideas would be appreciated. thx jt
