Hi, I recently joined this forum and I am confused about a few things. First of all, how does this forum relate to proboards. I have a proboards account but it seems to be separate from my "itistheride" account. I realized this when I clicked the help tab and was redirected to proboards. I was looking for help regarding e-mail notifications. How do I receive e-mail notifications when I receive a response to one of my posts?

How do I receive e-mail notifications when I receive a response to one of my posts? that would be a gr8 feature but i don't think that option exists. you can bookmark a thread and set it up to email you anytime someone makes a new post. goto profile > bookmark > manage bookmarks > then you can set up default for no notification, PM or email. to bookmark a thread just go to the 1st post and click bookmark. took me awhile to figure that out. i would miss many posts because i didn't have any threads bookmarked. hope that helps.

[replyingto=ramblinman]ramblinman[/replyingto]Thanks a lot. That is so much better than browsing my posts for new responses.

[replyingto=alleyoop]alleyoop[/replyingto]I have read that page before, but I am still confused about how "itistheride" seems to be separate from proboards. For example, when I login to my proboards account and then find the "itistheride" forum through the site, I am not logged into the thisistheride website. It seems like the pro boards website is nothing more than a way to create a forum or find a forum you are interested in. I hope I am wrong here, because I would love to have notifications on the posts I create.

I believe you are referring to the new one login system PB has created to use with the new V5 software format they just launched a few weeks ago. We are currently still on the old V$ format and that system doesn't have that type of login thus you have to individually login to V4 forums. We are currently in the opt out mode until this December and I am working on the test forum right now to set it up like we want. We will convert by this December maybe sooner if Doug and I are comfortable with doing so. I am fixing to start displaying the test forum options and start a how to thread and let people here get familiar with it before we switch. If you would like to look at the test sight here it is: betaitistheride.freemessageboards.com/board/32/general-scooter-boardYou probably will get redirected the first time you try to login. JR

[replyingto=jr]JR[/replyingto]Yes, you are following me exactly. For the betaitistheride site, do I have to set up a new account if I want to login and/or link the beta forum to my PB global site? My existing login info for thisistheride does not seem to be working.

If you were a member before I created it no, but if you joined here after I created it yes you will have to create a new account there. But once we convert this forum to V5 you will not create a new account.
