[replyingto=redroush00]redroush00[/replyingto] Here is mine,, Hard too see but its still got a strip,,you can see the bolt that holds the exhaust bracket in place is the one I think hit the road,,it has a scuff on it.The scoot was still nice and solid there so I would have no worries using up my whole tire if things weren't hitting the road...lol **UPDATE** It was my center stand that was hitting on the right side also,,I layed the scoot down in my shop slowly by hand and can see the stand hits first,,if the bracket on the exhaust hits the ground before I do,,Im in trouble...lol..if I remove or modify my center stand my Header Pipe will be the next thing in line to hit,,its close....

You can just see it. It's a bit difficult because of the sand, but there is dark/light shade line about half way between the edge of the sand/dirt and the edge of the tyre. That is your chicken strip. It's caused by the wear on your tyre, not extending as far as the edge of the tyre, because you "corner like a chicken". Sports bike riders worry about it more than anyone else, cause, "you know man, gotta get your knee down man, or you're not a real biker, man".

I git it now! I once nicked the kickstand I forgot to raise when making a slow left turn.

[replyingto=redroush00]redroush00[/replyingto]No,,raise all your stands and go out and grind some metal off the center stand by leaning a hard turn,,then check back with us,,trust me you will find the center stand its not that far down on the left

Maybe I'll go get a pic of mine and you guys can diagnose it. I'm still not sure what a chicken strip looks like

It's just the different colored part of your tire on the edges. It can be hard to see on some tires. Post it up and we'll tell you

Not too shabby Dom. Looks like you use most of it. You have a bit left remember that when you think you can't turn tighter but need to.

Don't worry kat, mine are terrible. I always see them and think I must try harder! They're getting better now that the weather is nice and dry, but still not worth posting a picture! Lol
