No not the kind you eat. I like to use the whole tire how about you. Any way post them up. It helps newer riders realize they are no where near the edge. I think I still have a mm or to on that one I could be using... Attachments:

Scootnwinn,
For the fist few years, I was sort of proud of my tires having no chicken-strips... After a few times of mashing the center-stand mounts ON the tarmac, and lifting the wheels OFF the tarmac... provoking an instant multi-lane sparking instant lane change... I'm a little more conservative now that I'm nearing 70... Years, NOT mph... LOL!
Now, if one could just get along without that pesky center-stand...

I have been known to do some pretty serious scooter leaning.. You get chicken strips from not leaning over enough, right? I never got that....

Understandable you do gotta watch certain turns. I find center stand on the left but not the right. It takes me a week or 2 to find the edge I never feel too comfy on a new bike for a little while..

Thats pretty darn good there scootnwinn,,I was finding my center stand today on the left side,,made me nervous,,I never found it on the right,,Ill take a pic of mine this week some time,,first Ill make sure to go out and ride pretty hard,,if I crash Ill be pissed...lol..think my right side will be lower,,even though Im more comfortable turning left.
Gotta watch if you push to hard into a wide chicken strip they are greasey,,so you need to ease into them,,i like to find a nice sweeper with a high crown and run it a few times.

Yes don't go too fast pushing it. Wide strips just indicate you can hold more speed in corners than you currently are. It will definitely be slippery out there at first. Ease into it...

If your gonna try to find the end of your tire,,you really need to make sure the road is free of sand, stone, moisture, debris, before you go pushing down too low,,always be aware of your road surface,,some surfaces like a smooth hot black top can be pushed much harder than a chip seal/tar type road,,so be careful guys

You guys need to find yourselves a nice new roundabout. A few laps of one when the roads are quiet will soon build up confidence in your rubber.
It's even better here in the UK, where we drive on the left. We do roundabouts clockwise, so there's no centre stand worries and you can really relax into the lean.

I love righties. Did you just offer to pay the scoot and my way to The UK? My passport is good and I would be happy to go run some round a bouts with you. I haven't been to England for 8 years...

I got mine down to about where scootnwinn has his,,Ill try to post a pic tomorrow,,I hit the exhaust bracket bolt a tad on the right side,,only if the road was a little wavy.Dont think I'm gonna use my whole tire much cause it really finds center stand quickly on left and now my new SS custom exhaust bracket bolt,,so I guess Ill remain a chicken also...lol
