radiator fan sometimes goes on and off got the temp high didn't go on checked fluid level after it pumped out while getting hot refilled it fan went on. went for a short ride got hot again fan wasn't running checked levels again. all fine checked all fuses all good few min later fun went on for a bit left alone went for a short ride same thing again I am thinking the thermostat on rad got to hot first time and I cooked it.anything I should check happened all of a sudden thanks for your input

Could be the temp sensor for the fan. Had a similar problem. You could short the wires coming off the sensor to see if the fan stays on while riding. That should keep the fan running but is also a drain on your electrics. Sensor for mine was $10 from scrappydogscooters. Also another thought. If you cooked the thermostat, it would stay open or closed but shouldn't effect the fan. So my thinking is the thermostat is fine.

I replaced the fan switch burped it checked the waterpump its fine come to find out at idle since the waterpump is connected to oil pump shaft at idle it doesn't pump as fast as I would on centerstand reving it up because top of rad was hot bottom was cool fan switch is on bottom of rad once I raise rpm water circulates faster rad temp evens out then fan comes on I guess being in 4th july parade just idiling wasn't a good idea lol live and learn
