is no match for my varaitor nut. could it really be on that tight... sigh. doing the only trick i know, drowning it in oil and trying not to get any access anywhere but the nut/threads.

Oh my,,should only be around 40ft pounds,,may need to make a spanner tool that fits in the holes and props to the ground for better leverage,,then use a breaker bar with a pipe.Or maybe a big strap wrench,,you can make one from an old bike tire.

i don't know how much more force i could put on this nut without breaking it. i'll stick with using the impact wrench for now. i just bought it so i could change my rollers today. at this point i will be happy if i can get the nut off before dark.

Thanks for posting this. For some "nutty" reason the Chinese put the nuts on insanely tight. I made my wrench from double thickness 1/8 inch steel epoxied and bolted together and it was twisted like a pretzel, and at one point the scoot's back end lifted off the ground (it took remaking the wrench and a second attempt before it gave way.)

if it is that tight you got to use HEAT!!!! the fan is plastic. i'd need a new fan at the very least if i put it under fire. an impact wrench with 1000 ft. lb torque should work, yes? i may take it somewhere to get it off. i give up for now.
