A friend gave me a box of Hotties and wow they do get hot in a few minutes and retain their heat for 8 hours . If its not freezing they get too hot for direct skin contact as they made my hands get red . I put them inside my gloves to warm them up and keep them in front of my fingers as the skin above my knuckles is too thin and got hot . I wear Freeze Out glove liners inside my MC gloves which does help . I know it does not get as cold in SC as it does for other places but since I liked how they work others may too . When its not too cold I put them in my pocket while riding and reinsert when I stop somewhere . Made from safe ingredients which I will add to my compost pile since I grow Brandywine organic tomatoes ( mmmm ) and hot peppers like cayenne and habenero ( may be spelled wrong ) . Here is a link on them www.littlehottieswarmers.com/product/hand-warmers

I use those I sewed a mitten that goes ove my gloves with a pocket in it to hold them... I am never cold now. Its a lot cheaper than electrically heated gear

Totally thought this would be a different thread. Me too! Wouldn't mind some hotties warming some body parts of me, on a cold or hot day. However, these hotties are less of my interest
