This is on my 2007 Kymco Agility 50.
I bought this as a non-runner so do not really know how everything worked on it previously.
I have installed a 50mm bbk.
About 50% of the time when I try to start the scooter, the starter drive does not engage. The starter itself spins but the drive does not kick out and engage the toothed wheel on the variator to spin the engine over.
Can this be resolved with cleaning/lubing of the drive itself or is this a matter of replacing the drive?
The scooter does eventually start, but it sure sounds ugly sometimes.

Just looking at the starter bendix you could put some oil on it, I know mine does a similar thing if the battery is not fully charged, even if the battery is slightly low mine does it.

Make sure all the teeth are on the variator gear also,,ive seen where a few teeth are missing,,and if that spot on the gear lines up with the starter gear when the motor is shut off,,the starter gear wont have anything to engage on...just a thought.
