Well so far I got some stuff done. The shelves are fixed... I hope they hold up the weight this time. D8 I have to trim the bushes tomorrow if it dries up Got some stuff put in the attic. Slowly organizing stuff in my new room. Here are some pics of my mom's front yard. She did all the stone work by hand. I'm wondering how you guys do your grass? I need to seed asap. What months should I do this, and how do you seed? She wants fescue grass I believe.

We may be trying the product despite that $14 price... that stuff is expensive! But we gots a lot of rot to fix Been using similar for years on boats. It is great for things that would require a ton of tear out to get at such as stools on large windows and such. In the old days we would use a thin marine epoxy after drilling small holes evenly spaced to let it better fill in and spread. On wall panels that are hard to cut out you would drill the holes as a downward angle and not all the way through and just brush it on until filled and then sand it smooth. Just used it to get out of replacing the stool cap on my bathroom window. It is behind an ac unit and gets splashed on when it rains. Replacing the stool cap would have required removing the entire aluminum window unit possibly damaging wall tile inside and the SupraDur Cement Siding outside which is brittle so it cracks easily and getting hard to come by. The stool cap was not too bad and the Rot Repair product sealed it and dressed it up nicely so that it is now solid, took a good coat of paint and looks as good as new.

If you're going from scratch, turfing it would probably be the best option IMHO. Either way, seed or turf, early spring is the best bet (not sure which part of the world you're in, and what weather you get) as you need a good mix of sun and rain for the first few weeks/months. Hire a rotivator and get the ground good and churned up, get a good even spread of lawn feed/fertiliser down on it, then sow your seed (or not if you're turfing), then roller it flat, then turf (or not, if you seeded). It'll need at least two days of good bright sunshine, and at least a day of good heavy rain every week to really get it kick started. Once it's growing in, don't let it get too long, but don't mow it too short. Make sure you keep all the leaves off it in Autumn, then pray it doesn't snow too much in winter, and NEXT spring, you'll have a bloomin' marvellous lawn! Ian

If you have a strong back, and plenty of time, you could dig it with a garden fork, put the fertiliser and seed down, then pat it down by walking over it.
But anything big, that will take FOREVER! But it's good for between bits.
