Hello everyone, I was just curious if there were other collectors on here like myself who collect video game consoles. Atari's and such..Pretty much anything from ps2 and older(not that ps2 is vintage but I consider from it back "old". I've currently got over 2000 original game cartridges/discs and about 20 colsoles or so. And do repairs on most. So anyways, Speak up if you're a fellow collector, I'd like to meet others! My favorite is Atari or original NES, You? I'll get some pics sometime soon to share a little of what I've got. If you have any please share as well, I would love to see them! -Tim

I have a huge video game collection too, though I've sold most of it on craigslist. I've had everything from the Odyssey 2 to the TG16. I love me mah vidja gaimz.
I'd say I probably had at least 500 cartridges and discs, but now not so much.
Since I've sold most of the games I had I use roms and such to play what I once had. You can access them on websites like nesonline, or snesonline without illegally downloading anything.
My two favorite systems are the TG16 and the Dreamcast because they were so innovative for their time. I also love how easily the dreamcast could be "hacked" ;D

I don't collect. But I did buy my brother's Atari. Plus his cartridges. Don't know how many we have. The pride of the group is Chase the Chuck Wagon, which our dog gave all of us for Christmas one year. Hilarious little game.
Right now it's boxed up, but once I get that area cleared out I want my brother to hook it up. I'm betting my nef will get a kick out of those old games.
Ah, I recall many nights in bed, hearing the beeps from the next room....

I loved contra back in the day. Now a days I can't believe how hard it is to beat..I mean 1 hit and you're dead..sheesh, I had better skills then com paired to now..lol
Dreamcast is one of my favs as well, sadly, I forget about mentioning it a lot of the times. The "hack" is great to, simplest i,'be ever seen..lol. I love the game "typing of the dead" or something like that. Pretty tough game that utilises the keyboard and killing zombies, great way to learn to type..lol.
A still get to hear the Atari sounds from time to time, my family and I have vintage video game nights every other Friday. It's fun when my 8 year old daughter picks the 2600..lol.
So is there anyone else outnthere? Share your fondest memory in an arcade or home console! My first arcade game to play was at the dentist hen I was very young, Popeye the arcade game. I used to fork soo many quarters in it.

[replyingto=domindart]domindart[/replyingto]The Xbox 360, Wii, and PS3 have unique IDs for gamers, called Gamer Tags. It's just like a screen name and with it you can play games together, chat, etc.

I collect. I like VB but it gives me a headache after like 15 minutes. My dumbest system by far is the game.com. Don't know how they sold one of those...

I have 2 NES, sega genesis, sega game gear, super nes, n64, gameboy advance, and ps1 for older stuff. I play Super Mario Bros 3 quite often, especially with my nephew.
Not too many places, or ads on craiglist, to find many vintage games where I live. Some prices for these older games are getting pretty steep. I just wish Gamestop would still have the older games.

Actually, I found the game.com in a trailer someone left on my ma's back 30. My favorite systems are the older CD based consoles, as they never predicted CD burners. I have like 50 3DO games and like 100 Dreamcast. Favorite system by far are the Nintendo based. Nothi. Beats Mario...
